LEARN MORE ABOUT THE IMPACTS OF WIND FARMS
Chevelon Butte Wind Farm
The Chevelon Butte Wind Farm is a wind energy farm planned south of Winslow, Arizona. We are committed to Coconino and Navajo Counties and eager to make positive contributions as a long-term and active corporate resident of these communities.
Our project will result in direct and indirect local economic benefits, such as the employment of more than 200 workers during construction of each phase and 10-15 permanent full-time positions during operations. Additionally, Right-of-Way (ROW) payments will be made to the Arizona State Land Department, which directly funds public education beneficiaries. Indirect economic benefits will include more than $8 million of local spending during construction and more than $250,000 annually during operations. More than $1 million in annual local worker salary payments during the project’s 20+ operating life is expected.
